ALBERTA PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM

The Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a program designed to allow the province of Alberta to nominate foreign nationals who have the skills, experience, and education needed to make an economic contribution to the province. The program offers different streams that target specific groups of individuals, including skilled workers, international graduates, self-employed farmers, and entrepreneurs.

To apply for the Alberta PNP, you will need to follow these steps:

Determine your eligibility
Review the eligibility criteria for the specific stream that you are interested in, as each stream has its own criteria.
Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) online through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) portal. Your EOI will be evaluated based on your skills, experience, and education, and you will receive a score based on the AINP's scoring system.
Receive a Notification of Interest (NOI)
If your EOI is selected, you may receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from the AINP. You will then have 14 days to submit a complete application.
Apply for permanent residence
If your application is approved, you will receive a provincial nomination from Alberta. You can then apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system or directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
It is important to note that the Alberta PNP has specific criteria and requirements for each stream, which may include a job offer, language proficiency, education, and work experience. The program is highly competitive, and meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee that you will receive a nomination from Alberta.
