Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program

The Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP) is an immigration program that allows the province of Nova Scotia to nominate candidates for permanent residency in Canada who are interested in settling in the province and contributing to its economy. The NSNP offers several streams for different categories of applicants, including skilled workers, international graduates, entrepreneurs, and community nominees. The most popular stream under the NSNP is the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream, which targets skilled workers with work experience in occupations that are in high demand in the province. To apply for the NSNP, you will need to follow these steps:
Determine your eligibility
Review the eligibility criteria for the specific stream that you are interested in, as each stream has its own criteria.
Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) online through the NSNP portal. Your EOI will be evaluated based on your skills, experience, and education, and you will receive a score based on the NSNP's ranking system.
Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)
If your score is high enough, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the NSNP. You will then have 30 days to submit a complete application.
Apply for permanent residence
If your application is approved, you will receive a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia. You can then apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system or directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
It is important to note that the NSNP has specific criteria and requirements for each stream, which may include a job offer, language proficiency, education, and work experience. The program is highly competitive, and meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee that you will receive a nomination from Nova Scotia.
